It was a cooler than normal Saturday in Vero Beach last week for the wedding of Beatrice and Jean Samuel .  Suzanne set up  at the The 1st Baptist Church of Vero Beach while Mark went to the Springhill Suite Hotel for pre-ceremony photos of the bride and her girls.  Beatrice looked lovely and radiant and was very calm (unusual for most brides) while she and her girls got ready, all the while remembering the age old adage, beauty is pain! The limo arrived and it was off to the church.  First Baptist Church of Vero Beach looks like something you would see in a Hollywood movie about the Old South. It has that old school charm and stately appearance and is massive inside.  Beatrice adorned the church with a lot of beautiful flowers which complimented her color scheme.  Once the bridal party made it down the aisle, all eyes were on Beatrice who was escorted by her Uncle.  After a relatively short ceremony (by Haitian standards) it was off to the Heritage Center of Vero Beach for their reception.  Inside the hall looked great with matching chair covers and flowers while the head table was set up on the stage area. The bride and groom were introduced and proceeded with their 1st dance as husband and wife, followed by a toast by the best man.  After a delicious dinner of tropical Haitian cuisine the dance floor was packed with guests dancing to the island sounds from the DJ and later on the bride and groom cut their beautiful cake (is was really pretty) and performed the traditional bouquet and garter toss. The night continued with the bride and groom trying to give each other glancing looks across the dance floor while trying to say hello to all of their friends and family that traveled so far to this special event.  This was a wonderful couple and very gracious to us.  We look forward to serving them and their family in the future as once Memories by Mark photographs your wedding, we're friends forever!

The day got off to a windy start for this fabulous Vero Beach wedding as Saturday's winds were in excess of 30 mph!  That didn't deter Suzanne from Memories by Mark nor did it phase her couple, Cassandra and Amanda.  Everyone arrived at The Surf Hotel to get ready and beautiful for the big day.  The couple decided to begin photos at the beach before the service in order to save time after the ceremony and keep their guests waiting time to a minimum.

Then it was off to The River House of Vero for the romantic outdoor ceremony under the canopy of the historic Banyan tree.  Both girls were dressed in white and looked radiant as the ceremony began in front of eighty of their friends and family.  The wedding included the popular sand ceremony followed by more stunning photos of the couple by Suzanne.  Then it was time to begin the reception with the great sounds from DJ Louie G.  The couple were introduced, had their first dance, toast and then dinner was served.  Later, the party continued inside and out on the great deck of the River House.  This couple were fantastic to work with and Suzanne commented that they were one of  the nicest couples she's photographed in a while.

Last weekend, Memories by Mark had the honor of capturing all of the love at the wedding of Edwidge and Danaud  Saint Surin .  The day started out with the bride and groom and their bridal party getting ready at the Hampton Inn in St. Lucie West before heading out in their limos to The New Testament Faith Center for their wedding ceremony.  The large bridal party of 9  girls,  7 guys, and 4 flower girls  made their way down the aisle looking sharp and then all eyes were on Edwidge as she made a spectacular entry into the sanctuary.  It was a moving ceremony steeped in Haitian tradition and after the ceremony and photos at the church, it was off to Eagle Marsh Country Club in Jensen Beach.  As always, Linda and her staff did an outstanding job serving the more than 150 guests in attendance.  The reception began with the formal introductions and then the first dance  of the bride and groom followed by their parent's dances.  A moving toast was then given by the best man and dinner was served.  After dinner, the party got rocking on the dance floor and of course, some additional photos of the various family and work groupings.  Later it was cake cutting time and the bride and groom decided not to smash the cake into each other.  Always a smart move!  The evening continued with everyone enjoying the tropical Haitian music and finally, after a very long day, the bride and groom said their goodbyes and were off on their honeymoon.

Kacy & Jared at The Tuckahoe Mansion

This past weekend's wedding took place at the historic Tuckahoe Mansion at Indian Riverside Park in Jensen Beach.  This is one of the premier locations for events on the Treasure Coast with an outstanding view of the Indian River.  Kacy and Jared's wedding took place at the  amphitheater  area of the property which is just down the hill from the mansion.  The ceremony area was decorated beautifully with the river as the backdrop. Kacy looked stunning as she walked down the hill with her father on her arm and all eyes were fixed upon the couple as they exchanged vows that included a sand ceremony with their son.

After the ceremony, Memories by Mark captured some stunning images of the bride & groom along with their families.  While the photos were being taken, guests had a blast in the Photo Booth and enjoyed the great sounds from their DJ..Jumpin Junior!  Karyn and her staff from Creative Catering provided the elegant food and dining experience as guests enjoyed the reception under the stars at the mansion's patio area.  One of the highlights of the night was the lighted riser that hosted  the bride and groom during the beginning of the reception and then later was a funky, elevated,  lighted dance floor. As the night played on, guests enjoyed cocktails from two cocktail stations and yummy coffee from the coffee bar area. Not even the high winds could stop anyone from enjoying the festivities but when Kacy threw her bouquet later that night, the wind took it for a long ride across the patio, forcing a re-throw!  It was truly a fantastic night and the bride and groom ( and their guests) were exhausted at the end of this special day.

Brelin & Alex at The Harborage Yacht Club

The Harborage Yacht Club was scene for one of this week's weddings as Suzanne from Memories by Mark captured all of the action for the wedding of Brelin and Alex.  Located on the north side of the St. Lucie River in Stuart, The Harborage Yacht Club is the perfect venue for a smaller, intimate gathering. Brelin and Alex's ceremony took place on the 3rd floor overlooking the St. Lucie River while a mariachi band played the wedding march and their friends and family looked on.  The couple's two small children were also in the wedding as the flower girl and ring bearer. After the ceremony it was down to the docks of the Yacht Club for some stunning photos of the couple while their guests enjoyed the view to the sounds of a steel drum player.  The night continued as the couple enjoyed their first dance as man and wife and after a fantastic dinner the couple and their friends and family danced the night away.  Of course, Suzanne was able to capture the bride & groom on the balcony as the moon rose over the river and the music drifted into the night.  What a wonderful couple!

Love was in the air on Sunday, 4/1/2012 at The Santa Lucie River Club for the wedding of Anci & Jost.  It was a picture perfect evening for a beautiful waterfront ceremony between two people so much in love.  The sunset was spectacular and so was all of the hard work put in by Catering Manager Carol and her captain, Andrea.  The food was endless and tasty served by one of the best staff's in the business. This couple shows us all that love can come at anytime during our lives, we just have to open up and let the love in.
