It was a cooler than normal Saturday in Vero Beach last week for the wedding of Beatrice and Jean Samuel . Suzanne set up at the The 1st Baptist Church of Vero Beach while Mark went to the Springhill Suite Hotel for pre-ceremony photos of the bride and her girls. Beatrice looked lovely and radiant and was very calm (unusual for most brides) while she and her girls got ready, all the while remembering the age old adage, beauty is pain! The limo arrived and it was off to the church. First Baptist Church of Vero Beach looks like something you would see in a Hollywood movie about the Old South. It has that old school charm and stately appearance and is massive inside. Beatrice adorned the church with a lot of beautiful flowers which complimented her color scheme. Once the bridal party made it down the aisle, all eyes were on Beatrice who was escorted by her Uncle. After a relatively short ceremony (by Haitian standards) it was off to the Heritage Center of Vero Beach for their reception. Inside the hall looked great with matching chair covers and flowers while the head table was set up on the stage area. The bride and groom were introduced and proceeded with their 1st dance as husband and wife, followed by a toast by the best man. After a delicious dinner of tropical Haitian cuisine the dance floor was packed with guests dancing to the island sounds from the DJ and later on the bride and groom cut their beautiful cake (is was really pretty) and performed the traditional bouquet and garter toss. The night continued with the bride and groom trying to give each other glancing looks across the dance floor while trying to say hello to all of their friends and family that traveled so far to this special event. This was a wonderful couple and very gracious to us. We look forward to serving them and their family in the future as once Memories by Mark photographs your wedding, we're friends forever!
