The Graduation of Shellby Basso

The Memorial Day weekend continued on Saturday as Memories by Mark provided the photo and video coverage of the graduation of Shellby Basso from the Clark Advanced Learning Center at Indian River State College.  The graduation ceremony was held at the Jensen Beach High School performing arts building on Saturday at 10:00 am.  It was a packed house as Shellby and 200 fellow students graduated in front of more than 500 friends and family.  Shellby attended the Clark Advanced Learning Center which is a charter high school for gifted and advanced students. Through her admission at "The Clark",  Shellby not only graduated with her high school diploma but also received her two year AA college degree too!  Shellby would like to attend medical school to become a doctor and has her eye set on the University of Miami.  Good Luck Shellby!

Since 1985 Memories by Mark has been providing award winning photography, videography, photo booth rentals, and event up lighting.  We have a package to fit every budget and every circumstance.  Don't trust your memories on an unknown, unlicensed, uninsured photographer that had a cheap price on Craig's List!  You do not have a second chance to get your wedding memories captured correctly nor is a family friend or relative that has a camera qualified to shoot your wedding.  It really makes no sense to spend thousands of dollars on a wedding and then not photograph and/or videotape the event correctly. You cannot compare the price of photography to a cake or limo as those are just a one time, one use portion of your wedding.  Your photos and videos will last a lifetime so call us today at (772) 466-5747 to find out how affordable our rates are to have a lifetime of....Memories......by Mark!

Sydney Zirlin's Bat Mitzvah

www.memoriesbymark.com
It was a very busy Memorial Day weekend for all of us at Memories by Mark starting with a Bat Mitzvah at Club Med for Sydney Zirlin.  It was a very different type of Mitzvah as Sydney's parents surprised her with a trip to Club Med with seven of her friends to celebrate her big day.  The Zirlins are from New Jersey and had seen enough Mitzvahs this year to try something different.  Rather than have the whole huge day they decided they wanted to come to Club Med for the Memorial Day Holiday and that Sydney could bring seven of her closest friends, all expenses paid! We provided a America's Next Top Model photo shoot for all of the girls and everyone loved it! Each girl got her own photos taken and then we did several group shots featuring all of the girls.

Of course we also did some family photos as well before the girls partied down at the Riverside Room at Club Med with the DJ.  It was really a fun night and something different.  Congratulations to the Zirlins not only for Sydney's Bat Mitzvah but for thinking outside of the box and giving their children and their friends a trip to remember forever!

Centennial High School Prom

www.memoriesbymark.com
It was a busy night at the Port St. Lucie Civic Center last Saturday as Memories by Mark provided the photo booth again for the Centennial High School Prom.  The Civic Center looked great and was decorated to the "nines" for the 8 o'clock opening.  The line started forming early for the photo booth and there was a steady line for photos for the next four hours!

Students really responded well to the photo booth as it was the hit of last year's prom! This year's class insisted that their prom  have the photo booth too. Memories by Mark provide more than 200+ keepsakes for the prom goers and look forward to coming back again  for next years prom as well as providing photo booths for several others proms and high schools as the word has gotten to other schools how great the photo booth is.

Pauline & Jerry

Last Friday night we were at Creative Catering at The Springhill Suite Hotel in St. Lucie West for the wedding of Pauline & Jerry.  Karyn and her staff (Sue+) did a fantastic job preparing the ceremony area as the bride got ready nearby.  This was a smaller, intimate wedding with their children from previous marriage's as their bridal party. The guests arrived and were seating and the wedding began exactly at 6:00 pm as planned.  Pauline looked radiant as she was escorted down the aisle by her son as Jerry watched from afar.  The couple's other children participated in readings from Scripture and after the couple exchanged vows and rings, lit the unity candle and kissed at the end of the ceremony, it was off for photos with Suzanne while Mark entertained the crowd as the evening's DJ. After a poolside cocktail hour, the guests were seated and the bride and groom were introduced and went into their first dance. Then it was a heartfelt toast by the groom's son, a blessing by the groom's brother, and dinner was served.  The crowd enjoyed the gourmet delights from Chef Andrew (one of the best around) and then hit the dance floor for a night of partying!  DJ Mark slowed things down for a couple of slow dance songs while Suzanne prepared the bride and groom for the cake cutting.  Both decided to feed each other nicely (no smashing) and then the party picked back up where it was and everyone partied the night away. It was a great event and we really loved working with this couple.  I'm sure we'll see them at another wedding in the future.

Leah & Chris at Shuckers

www.memoriesbymark.com

Last  Saturday we photographed the wedding of Leah and Christopher Gift. It is the second time we have photographed a wedding for the Gift  family.  I guess they like us!  The day started at a cute, out of the way church hidden in Jensen Beach called the Treasure Coast Christian Church or TC3 as they call it.  As you entered the church lobby, the was a photo displayed of the bride as a child at her preschool graduation.  The amazing fact, discovered just recently, was that the little boy in line right behind Leah was in fact her new husband Chris!  That's right, they went to the same preschool together.

Neither of them remember each other from back then and it wasn't until the wedding that one of the groom's  family members saw the photo and said, "That's Chris in line behind Leah". Wow, talk about Karma.  The wedding ceremony was lovely as Leah's 3 bridesmaids and one of the cutest flower girls ever walked down the aisle before her.  Leah was so excited as she walked down the aisle escorted by her father.  After the ceremony it was photo time of the family and bridal party.  For all of you brides-to-be please remember to allow us at least 30-40 minutes at the church to take your photos.  Of course some additional time will be required if you want photos taken at your reception venue too.

Speaking of reception venues, Leah & Chris had their reception at Shuckers on the Beach.  Wow, talk about a breathtaking view!  After  a little beverage break it was off to the deck at Shuckers for photos on the beach.  The bridal party posed with military precision as I placed them for their photos, all the while being watched by 100 spectators having dinner on the deck! They were great and we knocked out those photos in no time.  Then it was time for introductions and the 1st dance.  After the toast by the Best Man and Maid of Honor, the delicious buffet opened to the guests all the while enjoying the sounds from the DJ.  The crowd got serious after dinner with some outstanding dance moves and then the couple fed each other cupcakes from the  cupcake tree.  Cupcakes are all the rage right now at weddings and who doesn't like a cupcake? The night ended with Leah & Chris kissing each other on the beach, unaware of another person on earth but each other! Thank you guys for the opportunity to capture some great photos.  I'll be waiting for the phone call to take baby photos sometime in the future!
